sMMSE for iPad app for iPhone and iPad

Providing the medical practitioner with a fast-acting and easy-to-use tool, Doctot sMMSE performs the standardised Mini Mental State Examination, thereby helping to diagnose Dementia in patients.

The sMMSE assessment scale is presented in a wizard format so the user can easily navigate through the interview components to record a patients status. The tool automatically generates the scale total and categorises this score, based on the users input.

All that a clinician needs to perform the assessment is included within the app. This includes:
- Initial instructions on setting up the assessment
- Instructions on how to perform each element of the assessment
- Hints as to preferred answers
- Images to display to the patient for identification/reading
- Spelling Words Backwards algorithm
- Finger tracing surfaces to mimic writing and drawing tasks

The scale has an "Information" section to provide the user with background details.
A "Help" section is also included to aid in the use of the tool.

In addition, functionality is included for:
- PIN Protection for security purposes
- Patient Results Management (e.g. Save, Delete & Sort options)
- Automatic Email Generation of each patient assessment result
- Shake-to-Reset Scale functionality
